Kobe Not Suspended

In the ultimate act of "we really need these ratings, and nobody is going to turn on their TV to watch that tall Asian guy"/"a Lebron-Kobe final would be so awesome that there's no way in hell I'm letting that same tall Asian guy and his psycho friend ruin it," David Stern decided NOT to suspend Kobe Bryant. After Bryant hogtied [read: sexually assualted] Battier in Game 1 and later elbowed him in the ribs, and then clearly elbowed Ron Artest in the throat while fighting for position, Stern and his buddy Stu Jackson are going to turn the other way. To top it all off, the NBA gave Kobe a pointless flagrant-1 after the game, which is going to lead to a meaningless fine and 17-48 more unpunished Kobe elbows over the next 3-5 games. The best part of all of this is that Derek Fisher has been suspended for Game 3, which helps the Lakers because now Farmar and Brown will play more minutes, meaning the Lakers will actually have a living, breathing player at the point guard position. So to sum things up, David Stern can suck my [Novak].
